What is the SYNOT Liga?
You may know it as the Gambrinus Liga (like we did) or you may know it as the ePojisteni.cz liga, which is the current sponsorship deal. Whatever you want to call it, this is the Czech First League, it is the highest league competition in Czech football.
The competition is fought between 16 Czech clubs.
It is a relatively new football league, being founded in 1993 after Czechoslovakia dissolved and the Czech Republic was born.
Sparta Prague are arguably the most famous team in the league and since they’ve won more than half the titles in this league they are definitely one of the most successful teams.
