Betting Strategies for Euro 2024: How to Maximise Your Potential Winnings

The excitement surrounding UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany is palpable, with the tournament set to be a spectacular showcase of European football talent. Fans look forward to amazing celebrations as Germany hosts for the first time since reunification.

This helpful preview will examine Euro 2024 betting strategies, market insights, and more to help you get on track with football betting.

Tournament Overview

Germany will become the centre of attention for football fans globally from June 14 until July 14.

Dortmund, Leipzig, Berlin, Munich, Hamburg, Cologne, Stuttgart, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Gelsenkirchen will host 24 teams and millions of enthusiasts in one glorious celebration of the beautiful game.

Tournament Structure

Twenty-four teams are split into six groups of four. Each group engages in a round-robin format, with the top two teams from each group advancing. Additionally, the four best third-placed teams across all groups will also move into the knockout stages.

Germany vs. Scotland is the opening match that will take place in Munich. Backed by their passionate home supporters, the three-time European winners are unsurprisingly hot favourites to make a winning start.

Teams to Watch

Germany: Julian Nagelsmann’s side have had their issues in recent times, but they are back in the groove now and can never be discounted on the big occasion.

England: The Three Lions have the team of a generation and are expected to go deep into the tournament.

France: Inspired by Kylian Mbappe, only the delusional would dare dismiss the claims of Les Bleus in Germany.

Italy: The reigning European champions are perhaps not the force of old but few sides will fancy playing Luciano Spalletti’s well-organised team.

Spain: Famed for their technical prowess and tactical acumen, the three-time European champions have a lovely blend of youth and experience.

Euro 2024 Betting Strategies

Betting on Euro 2024 may be exciting and even profitable. Here are some techniques to help you boost your Euro 2024 betting experience.

Bankroll Management – Allocate your betting funds wisely. Set a budget for the entire tournament and stick to it. Avoid chasing losses or increasing your stakes impulsively.

Play Responsibly – Learn how to play safe and smart by checking out Safer Gambling Tools. This will help you monitor your betting, set budget and time limitations and learn when you should stop.

Know the Teams/ Players – Understanding the complexities of the game is crucial for success in football betting. Take the time to research the teams, the individual players and their abilities. Go a step further and look at the team’s injury reports as it could have a huge impact on their performance.

Value Betting – Use team performance analysis to find value wagers and watch match previews. Check out the Winner odds at VBET to get the most up-to-date info, also, consider factors such as recent form, injury, team dynamics and head-to-head records.

In-Play Betting – Take advantage of live betting during matches. Adjust your bets based on real-time developments. With live betting, the odds are subject to change every second, so monitor the game, assess momentum shifts, and capitalise on changing odds. This market requires more skill and knowledge plus quick decision-making skills.

Mix-Up Bets – Finding the bet type that works for you is crucial. But it doesn’t mean you should stick to it. Sometimes mixing things up would be helpful and interesting. Explore other markets such as handicap or first goalscorer bets to add an extra layer of excitement to the game.

Euro 2024 Market Insights

Now, let’s take a closer look at the major fancies for Euro 2024:

England

It is little wonder that The Three Lions are favourites to claim European glory for the first time. Gareth Southgate has, by quite some distance, the best players in the tournament. Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham, Bukayo Saka, Phil Foden – the list is endless. They do, however, have injury issues at the back, while questions abound about their goalkeeper Jordan Pickford. That said, it would be a huge shock if they did not reach the knockout stages, at which point their class could shine through.

France

As is their style, Les Bleus are expected to be there or thereabouts at the business end. Didier Deschamps may now be reaching the end of the line with France, but he has his team in fine order heading into the Euros. Now their World Cup heartache has been banished, they are once again playing with freedom and clarity of mind.

And in Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezman they have two dazzling lights that can single-handedly change a game with one moment of pure quality. Their group clash against the Netherlands will be no means a bad thing as it will help ensure France are cherry-ripe for the knockout stages.

Italy

What to make of the reigning champions? They have struggled badly since winning the trophy four years ago and even failed to qualify for the World Cup. Indeed, Italy only just avoided a Euro play-off which tends to suggest they will lack the quality of many of the alleged big-hitters.

Be that as it may, they have experienced players in big competitions, a fine manager and a world-class goalkeeper. It would be no surprise if they reached the final, but it would also not be a huge shock if they were eliminated from a hot group.

Germany

The hosts have rather derailed over the last five years, but there is a feeling that Germany have now rediscovered their mojo. This is evidenced, in part, by their domestic sides doing so well in Europe this season. And the fact the excellent Mats Hummels has not made the squad is surely a testament to how strong they are at the back.

Jamal Musiala is a rare talent, while captain Ilkay Gundogan will do what Ilkay Gundogan does in big games. This is not a vintage Germany side, but they have momentum, an easy enough group and, crucially, home support to go all the way.

Spain

Things have changed for Spain following their embarrassing World Cup exit two years ago. With much of their old guard quietly shuffled off the scene, La Roja have reinvented themselves. Having breezed into Euro 2024, they have the defensive solidity to go toe to toe with the best in the business.

And in Rodri, who never seems to lose football games whenever he plays, they have perhaps the most underrated footballer on the planet. That said, goals might be an issue as they have no world-class striker compared to some of their counterparts.

But if they can escape from a ‘group of death’ featuring Croatia, Italy and the quietly progressive Albania, Spain have the potential to do some serious damage.

With the summer of football now here, here’s to an intriguing and fun Euro 2024! Keep an eye on the fixtures, check out betting previews and stay tuned.

But remember that betting involves risk, so always gamble responsibly and enjoy the action.
