Today’s free tip is in the Dutch Eredivisie encounter between Heracles Almelo and Willem II.
I’m expecting a very typically entertaining Eredivisie encounter here because these two teams attack without fear, and both of them are good at it. Personally, I think that Willem II is the better side but Heracles Almelo still play on a plastic pitch so opposing them at home is a dangerous business. I wouldn’t go near the 1×2 market.
Backing goals seems logical enough to me, though. Whether games go their way or not, Heracles Almelo does not stop trying to score goals. They’ve got plenty of attacking threats to call upon in Dalmau, Kuwas, Peterson, and Duarte, to name a few. My favourite is Osman, though – the Syrian midfielder has been excellent this season. Between them, there isn’t an Eredivisie side that Heracles Almelo cannot score again. Getting a positive result against teams, though – that’s not easy for today’s hosts because they don’t defend well due to their excessive attacking. Still, with the amount of goals they score, the Almelo players give themselves a reasonable chance of winning games and the same can be said today.
Willem II has reached a new level this season, though. Since experienced Koster came in – along with some players that are too good for the club (e.g. Ozbiliz, Isak) – Willem II has become very hard to handle. Defensively, I doubt they’ve ever been weaker but offensively speaking, I’d back them to score against any Eredivisie side. Isak in particular has been magnificent since joining on loan from Bv09 Borussia Dortmund. Willem II isn’t doing anything special, mind you – they’re simply attacking with pace and belief – but it’s working. Willem II looks really good, and on the back of three straight wins, it’s hard for me to doubt them today.
Ultimately, these two teams should go at one another from start to finish. If that happens, backing over 3 goals at 93/100 should be a very good bet indeed, which is a tip that would have won for four out of the last five meetings between these two teams.
Verdict: Over 3 goals at 93/100.
