Today’s free tip is in the Italian Serie A encounter between Internazionale and AS Roma.
Although this game is a dead rubber for Internazionale, it’s not for Roma. The visitors need the points both to try and avoid embarrassing themselves by finishing behind bitter rivals Lazio, and also to finish ahead of Sassuolo in order to keep their European place for next season (don’t forget – the Coppa Italia final is between Atalanta Bergamo and Juventus).
Roma – at least until Mourinho arrives – are a fearless, attack-minded team. They will attack under Fonseca, and they’ll entertain. I remember watching the reversal of this fixture, which was highly entertaining. Internazionale should have won it but didn’t take their chances well enough on the day. There were plenty of spells in the game for both teams though, and both displayed attacking intent throughout. I just don’t see what’s changed since then, really – both teams are still the same type of teams, playing similar attacking football.
I think Internazionale will truly embrace playing without any pressure on them. Roma need to keep their heads and be as ruthless as they were against Crotone last time out. Even the youngsters they brought on looked good at a time when they’re missing a lot of players, the capital club. I also think that we might see cards here. It’s not a conventional nor a traditional derby, but it goes back some years as to when Roma used to have their best players plundered by Internazionale, which led to some violent reactions on the pitch. There might just be a bit of a kick to this fixture, folks.
Goals is the name of the game tonight though, in my opinion. They’re not hard to find in the games of either team anyway, but with Internazionale likely to be afforded the space to break, and Roma only really good at hurting teams, I have to believe that we’ll see goals here. If Internazionale can smash five past a stubborn, boring Sampdoria team when they’ve no reason to do so, then they can do something similar against an adventurous Roma team tonight. I suspect we’re in for a good game here, basically.
For me, backing over 3 goals at 89/100 makes sense.
