Ancona vs Sassuolo

Free

Today’s featured game is the Serie B encounter between high-flying Ancona and the resilient Sassuolo. Ancona currently occupy top spot in the division whereas Sassuolo sit two places outside of the play-off places.

Ancona have been one of my favourite sides to bet on so far this year with their relentless efficiency in winning their home games. Ancona have so far won six out of their seven home encounters, drawing just once. They average scoring just under two goals per game at home and concede just over one goal per every four home games, two record that perfectly indicate why Ancona are such a threat at home. Ancona have won three of their last five games overall and have well-earned their top spot place as we enter the Christmas period. Nobody in Serie B has scored more goals than Ancona have this season so Sassuolo have it all to do to get a result here!

Sassuolo are doing well in terms of emulating last season’s impressive form with the surprise-package still being a difficult side far the majority of their opponents to overcome. Interestingly, only Cesena have lost less games on the road than Sassuolo have this season, which is probably why the bookies give Ancona such good, tasty odds! Sassuolo do play a very good brand of away football by scoring a lot and conceding very few. They do have an issue winning away games as they tend to draw more than they win which does indicate that they’re prone to lapses in concentration, something that Ancona will run riot with here today. I may have been tempted to stay away from this game had Sassuolo not somehow lost at home to a plucky Piacenza last match, a virtually unthinkable result given their form so far this season so heads will have dropped a little and their momentum will have taken a hefty blow.

With all of the above in mind, I can’t help but feel the machine that is Ancona will win yet another home game against Sassuolo just like they did last year and there’s certainly value in the bet too.

Verdict: Ancona to win at evens.

Saturday’s Picks

My tips:

As ever, below are my recommended value tips for today in no particular order:

SV Kapfenberg vs Wiener Neustadt – home win at 23/20.

SV Kapfenberg are one of the weaker sides in the Bundesliga but are happily facing a side that they’re more than capable of beating. The hosts are woeful away from home but have won three out of their eight home games, which isn’t too bad when you consider that they’re second from bottom in the Bundesliga! Only the top five sides in the division concede less goals at home than SV Kapfenberg do although SV Kapfenberg’s goalscoring suffers as a result of it. Nonetheless, SV Kapfenberg have won two of their last three home games, only losing to Salzburg whilst beating title hopefuls Austria Vienna and annihlating the bizarre LASK Linz. In the process, SV Kapfenberg have scored eight goals so they’re looking potent ahead of this game.

Newly-promoted Wiener Neustadt have impressed me with some good performances at home this season and good wins too. They’re one of the division’s biggest goalscorers on their own turf and generally like to make a nuisance of themselves. However, as with all newly-promoted sides, there is a catch! Wiener Neustadt’s catch is that they simply surrender away from home in support of damage limitation so as a result they’ve been on the end of some heavy results this season. Wiener Neustadt have already lost five out of their six away games, drawing once. They’ve managed to score a paltry four goals but have conceded over two goals per game. Wiener Neustadt may be able to match SV Kapfenberg in the Bundesliga table, or even surpass them, but they simply don’t have the experience to make a force of themselves away from home.

I’m expecting a lot of goals in this game because Wiener Neustadt cannot defend away from home and SV Kapfenberg are scoring goals for fun at the moment. However, the value has to be in the home win for the more experienced of these two sides against their poor travelling opponents.

Verdict: SV Kapfenberg to win at 23/20.

LASK Linz vs Sturm Graz – home win with draw no bet at 5/4.

LASK Linz are a really odd side, possibly the oddest side in the world, in my opinion! Why? Well, only league leaders Rapid Vienna have scored more goals at home than they have, only bottom-placed Austria Karnten have conceded more goals on the road than they have, and yet LASK Linz are still third from bottom in the Bundesliga table! The sixteen games that LASK Linz have played in this season have witnessed an amazing total of eighty-two goals, a phenomenal amount for both good and bad reasons! LASK are terrible away from home but at home they tend to be a reliable force, losing just once at home all season but winning four out of their eight home games along the way. LASK haven’t won for at least five games so this call does bear a risk factor but they’ve proven that they’re more than capable of doing the business so I expect them to do so today.

Visitors Sturm Graz are a better side than LASK Linz, in my opinion, although their recent form far from reflects that. Sturm Graz have lost their defensive stability and that loss has seen them crash to three consecutive defeats now, four if you include the UEFA Europa League game with Panathinaikos, scoring just once in all of those games combined. Sturm have been somewhat unconvincing away from home this season but their defensive ability tends to see them ride the wave. However, their defence has seen much better days and there’s not many worse sides to face than LASK Linz when your defence is in bad shape!

Sturm Graz lost here last season and look on course to lose again, particularly with the goalscoring prowess of LASK Linz becoming more evident with each passing game (i.e. three goals scored per home game on average).

Verdict: LASK Linz to win at 5/4.

Westerlo vs Mechelen – home win at evens.

Westerlo’s home form has been inconclusive so far this season. They’ve won three times, drawn twice, and lost three times in their eight home games. They’ve scored as many as they’ve conceded and it’s generally anyone’s guess as to whether the capable side that we know can turn up will turn up. So why take the home win here? Well, it just so happens that Westerlo bring some good momentum into this game after a home win against Lokeren last match and the fact that Westerlo have scored in all of their last twelve games, including a win against Standard de Liege, tells you that Westerlo can be a force to be reckoned with.

Mechelen are a good side on their day but their day last appeared a lengthy time ago with Mechelen having now lost their last four games consecutively. Their morale and momentum are shattered and only second-bottom club Lokeren have lost more away games than Mechelen have this season with today’s visitors having already lost five out of their eight away games. Mechelen have conceded nine goals in their last four games and have only scored once on that run, which sets them up very badly for a tough trip to Westerlo.

Overall, the above information implies that a comfortable home win is on the cards and the value is there to make it worthwhile!

Verdict: Westerlo victory at evens.

Anorthosis Famagusta vs Apollon Limassol – home win at 4/5.

I have to wonder if the bookies have gone mad with these odds! Anorthosis Famagusta are one of the top three sides in Cyprus along with APOEL Nicosia and Omonia Nicosia. There is simply no disputing this blatant fact. Apollon Limassol are part of a chasing group with bitter rivals AEL Limassol and a couple of other sides but still aren’t capable of playing the same football that Anorthosis Famagusta do. Anorthosis Famagusta may have lost their last game but their home form remains highly imposing with four wins from four games, scoring over two goals per game on average but only conceding a goal once every two games on average. Anorthosis Famagusta have won four out of their last five games overall and it’s hard to see the class difference between these two sides seperating significantly just for today!

Visitors Apollon Limassol have had a dream start to their Division 1 campaign this season and are currently third on the back of four straight victories. Apollon Limassol are one of just two sides remaining in this division that are yet to lose an away game, which is probably why the bookies have given such generous odds! Apollon Limassol have only conceded two goals on the road this season but their downside is that they don’t score too many on the road either. However, I don’t think it’s a great coincidence that Anorthosis Famagusta have won their last three home games in all competitions against Apollon Limassol due to the difference in class and I can’t see that record worsening today.

This should be a straightforward home win, much moreso than the bookies are making it out to be!

Verdict: Anorthosis Famagusta victory at 4/5.

A.E.Paphos vs Aris – home win at 10/11.

A.E.Paphos are unbeaten in their past three games, winning once and drawing twice. They’ve won two out of their four home games this season but are capable of much better as was indicated by their presence in their not-too-distant past in European competition. However, their home form alone isn’t enough for me to consider backing them – that’s where visitors Aris come in!

Aris have not only been woeful lately with four defeats in their last five games but they’ve also already lost three out of their four away games this season. Only APEP and Ethnikos Achnas have conceded more away goals than Aris and it’s hard to see that changing as they take on a side that I consider to be a class above them – A.E.Paphos.

Although the hosts haven’t been overly convincing this season, their momentum in recent games versus the woeful performances of Aris say that the home win is not only likely but also proudly bearing some value.

Verdict: A.E.Paphos victory at 10/11.

APEP vs APOP/Kinyras – away win at 7/5.

Hosts APEP have only lost one home game out of four this season, which is quite impressive considering that they’re third from bottom in the table. APEP’s big problem is goalscoring, something they’ve done less than any other side in this division although Ethnikos Achnas can match it! APEP’s saving grace has purely been that they’ve conceded very few home goals but that’s all the stands between them and bottom place! APEP have lost their last four games in a row and are beginning to look very likely indeed for relegation unless their goalscoring picks up swiftly.

Visitors APOP/Kinyras have been as good away from home this season as they have been at home. They’re one of the division’s better sides and it does tend to show, too. APOP/Kinyras enter this game on the back of a three-game unbeaten run, winning their last two games consecutively. There’s simply no doubting that APOP/Kinyras are the better of these two sides by a considerable amount and have a great chance of extending their impressive away form today.

If the above isn’t enough to convince you, then consider the voodoo sign approach! APEP have lost all of their last six games against APOP/Kinyras in their current division and in the division below, both home and away. APEP haven’t even managed to score against APOP/Kinyras since 2006 so the away win looks to bear more value than the bookies seem to think!

Verdict: APOP/Kinyras victory at 7/5.

Slovacko vs Jablonec – away win a 11/8.

Hosts Slovacko are finally beginning to look the relegation candidates that we all thought they’d be following their circumstantial promotion last season. Slovacko have lost ten out of their fifteen games this season with only bottom club Bohemians Prague having lost more games than they have. Slovacko enter this game on the back of three consecutive defeats and if that wasn’t enough already then they also have to contend with the fact that only second-bottom Kladno have lost more home games than they have.

Visitors Jablonec are still flying high despite stuttering a little in recent weeks. They’ve won two of their last four games and have been one of the best away sides in the Gambrinus Liga this season, winning four out of their seven away games, losing just twice. Only league leaders Teplice can better their away record hence the fact that only Teplice are above Jablonec in the table currently. Jablonec’s great strength is not conceding goals so a Slovacko side devoid of morale and ability shouldn’t have many chances against the visitors’ very reliable defence.

Basically, there’s a quality difference here today and I thoroughly expect it to show with Slovacko sliding further and further towards relegation.

Verdict: Jablonec victory at 11/8.

Esbjerg vs Aalborg BK – home win at 6/5.

Esbjerg’s bubble has been burst somewhat lately with just two wins in their past five games. However, their impressive early season form has not been without merit as they now hold a sturdy grasp on third place in the Superligaen. Esbjerg naturally aren’t the freescoring force in Danish football that they’d like to be when playing at home, which is a pity because their overall goals tally is bettered only by Brondby in the whole division. Nonetheless, Esbjerg’s home form remains very impressive and reliable with five wins in seven games, losing just once. Esbjerg are nothing if not reliable at home and I thoroughly expect to see that today with another home.

Visitors Aalborg BK do concern me a little of late with their rigid performances as when they get into this mood, they’re very hard to get out of it again. Nobody has conceded as few goals away from home as Aalborg BK but the visitors have still managed to lose three of their seven away games this season. Just one defeat in their last five games leaves Aalborg BK looking difficult to beat if nothing else so I am a little concerned ahead of this fixture. However, Esbjerg are more than capable of winning this fixture just as they have for two years running so the value has to be in the home win here today!

Verdict: Esbjerg victory at 6/5.

West Ham United vs Burnley – home win at 4/5.

West Ham United have been one of the most unlucky sides in the Premier League this season with injury issues and simple misfortune on the field, something perfectly illustrated by the penalty given for Hull City against them last match which was never a penalty in a million years. However, West Ham remain a tough side to play against despite what they league table may show and that’s always apparent at Upton Park where Arsenal have already failed this season and Liverpool struggled to take three points. West Ham today entertain one of the worst away sides in the Premier League so I really think they’ll do the business today.

Burnley are a strange side! They’ve got a phenomenal home record and I’ve no idea how! They’ve not got quality players en mass and their style of play isn’t unplayable so why have they done so well? I can only put it down to their magnifient work-rate and a slice of fortune because their away form reflects how bad they actually are with five defeats in six away games. Burnley concede over three goals per away game on average and simply don’t score enough goals – the atypical traits of a side not good enough to play in the division!

This game really should be a straightforward home win here today for what is a much better side than their visitiors.

Verdict: West Ham United victory at 4/5.

Bristol City vs Sheffield United – home win at 4/5.

Although without a victory in their past three games, Bristol City still boast one of the better home records in this division with five wins in eight home games, drawing the other three. Bristol City concede few home goals which does lend considerable strength to their home form, particularly as they’re not a freescoring side. Normally, this type of form wouldn’t be anywhere near enough for me to back a home win but the mere fact that they’re hosting Sheffield United immediately fills me with confidence that this competent side will outdo their out-of-form opponents.

Visitors Sheffield United may have finally won a game last time out but it was a narrow home win to relegation battlers Peterborough United – far from the form or performance that you have come to expect from Sheffield United over the years. Sheffield United have lost four of their last six games, losing two out of their last three games on the road and drawing the other game. Althougy I personally consider Sheffield United to be a far better side than Bristol City, I can’t possibly see them taking anything from this game given their atrocious form of late and the reliability of Bristol City playing at home.

Verdict: Bristol City victory at 4/5.

Sheffield Wednesday vs West Bromwich Albion – away win at 11/10.

Sheffield Wednesday have been very poor indeed lately with no wins in their past five games. They’ve lost three of those games and don’t look likely to emerge from their slump against a potent and talented West Bromwich Albion. Sheffield Wednesday have already lost three home games this season and look likely to add to their collection as they take on their more illustrious opponents today.

West Bromwich Albion have emerged from their slump and are now unbeaten in four games, winning their last three in quick succession. Nobody in the division has scored more goals than they have this season and they’ve only been beaten once away from home in eight games, winning an impressive four times.

Given that the class and momentum advantage both lie strongly in the favour of West Bromwich Albion, it’s extremely difficult for me to see beyond the away here today.

Verdict: West Bromwich Albion victory at 11/10.

Racing Club Lens vs Olympique de Marseille – away win at 19/20.

Relegation-battlers Racing Club Lens are unbeaten in their last three games and are starting to move away from the drop zone. They’ve won their last two games consecutively and will need all their new-found momentum to have any chance of overcoming a very good Olympique de Marseille side. Lens have only lost twice at home this season but have only won twice, preferring to take whatever points they can get if only via a draw. However, newly-promoted Lens are still a class below Olympique de Marseille and I thoroughly expect that to show today.

Visitors Marseille enter this game after an impressive draw at the San Siro against AC Milan in the UEFA Champions League so will take considerable momentum into this game. Marseille have already won three out of their six away games this season in Ligue 1 and have only been beaten once. No side has scored more away goals in Ligue 1 than Marseille with the visitors having already scored an average of 2.5 goals per away game and Lens aren’t good enough to prevent that record from continuing in my opinion.

Overall, the away win looks favourable for Marseille with the visitors unbeaten in four games in Ligue 1 and boasting the better side.

Verdict: Olympique de Marseille victory at 19/20.

FSV Mainz 05 vs Hamburger SV – home win at 9/5.

Mainz have really surprised me this season by only losing three out of their thirteen games. They’ve won an impressive six games since promotion and deservedly occupy sixth place in the Bundesliga currently with their no-nonsense football and tremendous home form. Mainz have already won five out of their six home games this season, drawing the other game and scoring an average of two goals per game at home. Mainz’s away form tends to be quite poor but happily that’s not an issue for today’s game!

Visitors Hamburg are really starting to show how much they’re missing their injured players as they enter this game with no wins in their last five games, losing two out of their last three games. Hamburg may be unbeaten on the road in six games but they’ve only won twice, drawing four times. A terrible defeat at home by relegation-battlers VFL Bochum last night will have shattered their fragile confidence and Mainz certainly isn’t the place to go without solid tactics or strong momentum. However, Hamburg don’t possess either of those things lately and although they boast a better squad, I can’t look past a bargain home win today for Mainz.

Verdict: FSV Mainz 05 victory at 9/5.

Asteras Tripolis vs Xanthi – home win at 10/11.

Asteras Tripolis enter this game unbeaten in their last two games. Although their home form has been largely inconclusive this season, they’re still proving to be a resilient force and have played well in recent games. An emphatic win at home against PAS Giannina and a very impressive draw at Panathinaikos will have done wonders for Asteras Tripolis’ morale and momentum.

Visitors Xanthi are arguably a better side than Asteras Tripolis but their away form is some of the very worst in the division with five defeats in five away games. Xanthi are the only side in the Super League that haven’t even managed to score away from home this season and three defeats in their last five games don’t look to be improving their chances of correcting their poor away form. Only Levadiakos have scored less goals than Xanthi this season so it’s beyond difficult for me to envision Xanthi taking anything from this tricky trip to Asteras Tripolis today.

Verdict: Asteras Tripolis victory at 10/11.

Empoli vs Cesena – home win at evens.

Hosts Empoli have won three of their past five games and currently occupy fourth place in Serie B. Only Ancona and Lecce have scored more goals than Empoli have this season but nobody has scored more goals at home than Empoli have this season. Empoli average scoring 2.5 goals per home game and have won six out of their seven home games, drawing just once. Only Ancona can match this superb record and it leaves Cesena with a lot of work to do ahead of their nightmare trip to Empoli if they intend on leaving with any points.

That said, Cesena are no slouches themselves as they’re the only Serie B side yet to lose an away game. Cesena’s style is to stop other sides playing football, hence Cesena having drawn five of their seven away games, winning just twice. The newly-promoted side rely heavily on their strong defence and it appears to be holding firm thus far. However, Cesena naturally struggle to score goals hence the paltry five goals scored in seven away games. They may have only conceded two away goals this season but they’ve got their first real away test today against a very strong Empoli side and I can’t see them emerging unscathed, particularly with their performances beginning to look stretched.

A record is going to have to give way here and I’m favouring Empoli to do the damage because they’ve got the ability and experience to do it whereas Cesena are punching well above their weight currently.

Verdict: Empoli victory at evens.

Torino vs Crotone – lay Torino at 6/5.

Hosts Torino have spiralled downwards swiftly following four games without a win, drawing three times and losing once. Every side has a bit of downtime and this is clearly Torino’s because there’s no way their actual level of ability would slump to such bad ways given that they boast the best side in Serie B in my opinion. Despite Torino currently occupying fifth place, their home record is actually far from convincing with just three wins in seven home games, scoring a rather unimpressive ten goals in those games. I don’t mean that harshly; I just expect better from a very good side. The mere fact that Torino have scored more away goals than home goals speaks volumes about their home form this season and is part of the foundation for my bet today.

Visitors Crotone are languishing near the bottom of the table following promotion from Serie C and generally have looked likely to lose to the majority of their opponents. However, lately they appear to have gained some kind of strength and quality and it’s shown in their performances as they’re unbeaten in four games, winning three of those games consecutively. Crotone’s problem has been scoring goals as they don’t tend to concede many goals at all.  Crotone have scored six goals in their last four games, conceding just twice, which may cause a real problem for goal-shy Torino.

Although this is undeniably a risky call, Torino’s goal-shy performances and Crotone’s stubborn defending makes me think that laying Torino at 6/5 could be very good value indeed today.

Verdict: Lay Torino at 6/5.

Cracovia Krakow vs Piast Gliwice – home win at evens.

Cracovia Krakow enter this game after impresive back-to-back victories, their most notable of which came away to bigger and more illustrious rivals Wisla Krakow. Although the joint-lowest goalscoring side in the division currently, Cracovia Krakow have shown a strong resilience of late and their momentum stands them in good stead ahead of the visit of Piast Gliwice.

Visitors Piast Gliwice have had a dire season thus far and haven’t won any of their last five games, losing three of those games. Piast have already lost five out of seven away games this season with just three sides in the Ekstraklasa having conceded more away goals than they have. Piast simply aren’t producing the same level of performances that they managed to last season and it’s beginning to look a very long and bleak season ahead for the visitors.

This should be quite the tight encounter quality-wise but Cracovia Krakow have the momentum and home advantage so should just shade the game today.

Verdict: Cracovia Krakow victory at evens.

Sporting Clube de Lisboa vs SL Benfica – away win at 5/4.

Sporting Clube de Lisboa have been so dismal this season that they’ve sacked Paulo Bento and brought in Carlos Carvalhal. Sporting haven’t won any of their last five games and although it seems reasonable to sack the manager after a poor run of form, you also have to examine the club’s decision to rely purely upon academy produce until the club is free of debt. In the long-term sense, this doesn’t make sense as if Sporting don’t shape up swiftly then they won’t be in the Champions League in future to generate further revenue! Sporting’s underlying problem is goalscoring as they’ve never been one for clean sheets but now that they’re not scoring goals, they’re starting to struggle significantly. Sporting have only won two out of their five home games this season and have only scored six goals whilst doing so – not the Sporting we know at all!

Visitors SL Benfica, by contrast, have been absolutely sensational on all fronts this season and their goalscoring tally dwarfs every side’s record in the Liga Sagres. Benfica have won four out of their five away games this season and have scored an average of two goals per game in the process, which is more than any other side has scored away from home in the Liga Sagres this year. Benfica have won four of their last five games and have looked every inch the top side in the country lately.

Generally, for big derbies like this game you have to tear up the form guide and cast aside the statistics. However, they do bear some resemblance on this game in my opinion because Benfica are simply playing better football and scoring more goals and are now facing a side that actually aren’t good enough to compete with them, which wasn’t the case in the past few seasons. With the above in mind, you have to feel that there’s potentially some great value in the away win here tonight.

Verdict: SL Benfica victory at 5/4.

Borac Cacak vs Javor Ivanjica – home win at evens.

Having already won four out of their five home games this season, Borac Cacak boast one of the best home records in the Super Liga with only the two best sides in the country – Partizan Belgrade and Red Star Belgrade – boasting better home records than they do. Considering that Borac Cacak are tenth in the table, you can only respect the superb home form of the hosts today, particularly as they average scoring nearly two goals per home game.

Visitors Javoc Ivanjica are arguably the better of these two sides overall but tend to enjoy drawing more games than they win. Javor are winless in their last four games, drawing three of those games and losing once. Javor’s focus tends to be on there being few goals in the game so that they remain unbeaten, which although is a negative brand of football, it’s nonetheless an effective one as Javor have only lost two out of their six away games this season.

This should be a tight game between two sides where the home advantage counters the marginal quality advantage of the visitors. However, Borac Cacak rely so strongly on their home form that they treat each home game as a cup final whereas Javor simply seek to contain sides. I fancy Borac to score and Javor not to score, thus leaving us with a narrow home win!

Verdict: Borac Cacak victory at evens.

Sporting Gijon vs Villarreal – away win at 13/10.

Sporting Gijon are unbeaten in five games now, which is remarkable for the hard-working side when you consider how little footballing talent they actually possess. Sporting are unbeaten at home this season and have won three out of their five home games. Sporting have conceded very few home goals this season and will be a tough side to beat for any opponent, even if their opponents are a class above them, such is their tenacious style of football.

Visitors Villarreal are back in that rich vein of form that few sides can do better than they do. They’ve won three out of their last four games and appear to be well and truly back in business, scoring goals for fun. Villarreal have been atrocious away from home this season with four defeats and one draw in five away games. However, this record was when Villarreal were at rock bottom with no morale and no momentum. They currently have both of the afore-mentioned and definitely boast the better of these two sides tonight.

The odd clash of these two sides sees Sporting enter the game with the better record and Villarreal enter this game with the better side. This should be a rather tough match but I expect Villarreal to edge it because they’re simply a better side and are in tremendous form at the moment.

Verdict: Villarreal victory at 13/10.

San Roque vs Ceuta – home win at 10/11.

San Roque currently occupy fourth place in the Segunda B Group 4 and have won three of their past five games. Although suffering defeat last match, San Roque still carry strong momentum into this game and have won more home games than any other side in their group with six wins in seven games. Only league leaders Granada have scored more goals than San Roque have this season and this doesn’t bode well for visitors Ceuta, particularly with the visitors without a win in their last two games!

Ceuta have had a good season thus far and currently occupy sixth place in the table. Their away form has been a little average this season and with just a handful of sides having conceded more away goals than Ceuta this season, it’s looking increasingly unlikely that Ceuta will take anything from this game. Ceuta have lost three out of their seven away games and travelling to the fort that is San Roque, it looks beyond them to take anything but a whipped backside from this game tonight!

Verdict: San Roque victory at 10/11.

Neath Athletic vs Prestatyn Town – home win at 3/4.

Hosts Neath Athletic have stunned me this season with a tremendous start to their campaign. They’re currently fourth in the Premier League and have only been beaten once this season, winning seven out of twelve games. Neath have won four out of their six home games this season, drawing twice and remaining unbeaten throughout! They average scoring over two goals per home game and have now won three of their last five games, leaving their momentum and confidence very strong indeed.

Prestatyn Town have won just one of their last four games, losing two of those games and drawing the other. Prestatyn tend to be stronger at home than away, as expected, but have a bizarre home record of more away wins and away defeats than away draws! Prestatyn are very much the old-fashioned “all or nothing” side but will tend to tend up with nothing  on the road when they find themselves conceding more away goals than all of the sides in this division barring the bottom three clubs. Prestatyn will fight valiantly in this game as they always do but they’re frankly facing a somewhat possessed Neath Athletic that I’ve never seen before so I feel they may just get a lesson today!

Visitors Prestatyn Town are known for their reliability in being tough to beat but there’s enough here to make me think that they will be beaten by an impressive Neath Athletic today.

Verdict: Neath Athletic victory at 3/4.
