Blackpool vs Newcastle United

I’ve got a lot of respect for Blackpool when they’re playing at home but I suspect today is where they come undone. Five conscutive wins says that Newcastle United have the momentum to overcome a Blackpool side unbeaten at home and they certainly have the quality to do it too. Somehow, the process whereby everything has gone wrong for the Geordies has united them all and made them stronger, which is impressive. They’re currently looking an unstoppable force and even a resolute Blackpool should be swept away by this tide here. The hosts are resilient and tough to beat but the visitors simply have too much going for them for these odds not to be taken advantage of. 11/10 on the away win is crying out for a juicy stake!!

Liverpool vs Debreceni VSC – home win with -2.75 handicap at 10/11. Despite a very impressive qualifying campaign, Debreceni VSC have now entered the park where the big boys play and it doesn’t get much bigger than an English side in England as your opening away game. Debreceni VSC are a capable sides and have beaten some good sides but Liverpool are far too good for them. Benitez always focuses on the UEFA Champions League because he knows it’s all he’s got a chance of winning. The visitors will put eleven men behind the ball today but I expect Liverpool to weave their way through the Hungarians with some precise incisions and do the damage rather easily. Taking a home win with -2.75 handicap is generally quite risky but I can’t see it failing today so 10/11 on this outcome looks inviting.
Velez Sarsfeld vs Boca Juniors – home win at 11/10. These two sides are rivals, first and foremost. It’s not the biggest of derbies; far from it, in fact. However, Boca Juniors are still regarded as one of the two biggest sides in the country whereas Velez Sarsfeld are seeking to change that with some impressive displays and results both last campaign and this campaign. Boca Juniors are nowhere near as good as they were and are struggling for form in a big way. Although this is a cup game, you can’t help but take note of both sides’ domestic form too, which also spells home win. A 2-1 defeat here wouldn’t be the worst result Boca Juniors could get and I think they’d take it given the current circumstances. 11/10 on a home win for a currently better side in better form looks an interesting bet.
Breidablik Kopavogur vs KR Reykjavik – away win at 6/5. Despite some bizarre resurgence of late, Breidablik Kopavogur are not as good as their current position makes out. They’re a strange side but I’m liking the thought of going against them today because of how good KR Reykjavik are and how well they’ve been playing lately. The visitors are the second best side in the division for winning away from home with an impressive six wins from nine games, losing just once. Hosts Breidablik Kopavogur have a rather dismal home record with wins being few and far between. That said, they’re unbeaten in five games so do approach this game with caution. Still, quality and ability point to the away win and although it should be a close game, I expect an away win here due to the above. 6/5 on the away win looks an interesting bet!
