Breidablik Kopavogur vs Valur Reykjavik

Free

In the Landsbankadeild Karla there hasn’t been a tremendous amount of value this weekend. However, I expect that to change as today we’re able to back Valur Reykjavik at 7/5 to beat Breidablik Kopagovur. The hosts seem to eternally be in disarray for one reason or another and entering this game, disarray still preys upon them. They’ve only won once in their last five games, losing two and drawing two. Their home record is haphazard, with one win, one draw and one defeat from their three games at home this campaign. The visitors aren’t the best side on the road as they’ve only won one from three this campaign, but the fact is that Valur Reykjavik are simply a better side than Breidablik Kopavogur and probably should be in possession of a higher league placing. Valur Reykjavik haven’t lost this fixture in the league since 2006, winning the last time they came here. I can only see an away win here, particularly as the visitors enter this game on the back of two straight wins and three games without defeat. My call is 1-2.

Monday’s Picks

My tips:

The bets I like the look of today are listed below:

Breidablik Kopavogur vs Valur Rekyjavik – away win at 7/5, see introduction for full details.

Brazil vs EgyptBrazil to win with -1 goal handicap at 5/6. Brazil are a side that need little introduction for any competition. Their form of late hasn’t been the most convincing it could be – even their 4-0 win against Uruguay was undeserved and frankly bizarre – but there’s no doubt in my mind that they’ll overcome Egypt. I have a lot of respect for “The Pharoahs”, particularly in the African Cup of Nations where they sit comfortably as one of the best sides, but they’re facing a much better opposition today, an opposition whom I expect to punish them. Egypt’s 3-1 loss away to Algeria prior to this game won’t have assisted them either. I think the quality of Brazil will show through today and my call is 2-0 – it may even be worth a cheeky under 2.5 goals punt at 10/11 because Brazil don’t have the flambuoyant and ruthless approach that nations like Spain have nowadays – they’ll be happy to see it out.

Spain U21 vs Germany U21 – over 2.5 goals at evens. Whereas I think Spain U21 will win this game, I’m not entirely happy backing it as I know that they face a potential tricky customer in the form of Germany U21. The Germans have missed players for most of their matches of late but have virtually a full arsenal to take on the flambuoyant Spaniards today and you don’t need me to tell you how German sides play in International tournaments! However, what I do expect is a lot of goals because Spain U21 can’t defend but can attack well and the Germany U21 squad aren’t goal-shy either. I personally think that over 2.5 goals at evens is a bargain but will be staying away from an overall winner!
