FreeKnow the name? Probably not – yet. Yet the Italian full-back made a storming appearance for Internazionale in their recent victory over fierce rivals AC Milan. The 18-year old managed to keep the likes of David Beckham and Gianluca Zambrotta at bay for the majority, if not entirety of the game. Whereby this isn’t the fastest duo in football, it bodes interestingly for Internaazionale’s forthcoming tie with European Champions Manchester United. I wonder how he’ll cope with Cristiano Ronaldo? Either way, if the youngster continues progressing at such a rate, it’s certain he’s in for a big future.
Also – this may be only a small inkling, but consider this. Over the past weekend, only 3 games in the Italian Serie A were home wins and only 1 game in the Spanish Primera Liga was a home win. Is it just me, or does anyone else find this extremely coincidental? Maybe it really is just a freak day in football, but it strikes me as extremely odd is all – just some food for thought!
