AGF vs Aalborg BK – home win. This is relatively risky in the sense that I don’t know which Aalborg BK are going to turn up this season – is it the one that played tenaciously and efficiently enough to get themselves into the UEFA Champions League last season? Or is it the one that went down with a whimper in their Superligaen campaign last season instead? Either way, one thing that has struck me is that AGF are very, very good at home, which is useful because they’re generally pretty damn poor away. Whether they can continue that trait this season and whether the lack of momentum from last season will hinder them is another matter, which is why this bet is a tad risky. However, I do like the look of a home win here and the odds make it look very interesting indeed.
Orebro vs BK Hacken – home win. The hosts are generally unreliable when it comes to winning games as their recent form indicates but today they’re hosting a very poor travelling side in BK Hacken. Quality-wise, there’s not too much between these two sides other than that Orebro are boring enough to get points off other sides as they drift to sleep. Orebro are a decent side though, and are good enough to overcome a meager BK Hacken side that are struggling to stay away from the bottom of the table. I fancy a narrow home win here, stay away from handicaps and keep punts low.
GAIS Goteborg vs AIK Solna – away win. This is a bet I really like the look of today. AIK Solna are a dreary side, but they are very good at it, which works out very well for you guys who don’t have to watch them play, just make money off them! They’re a very efficient side, arguably one of the most efficient in Sweden. GAIS Goteborg are ok on their day but they just don’t have enough to beat AIK Solna. A draw is a possibility but I can’t see it when you look at the statistics in the league currently – there’s some serious value in an away win here.
