They’ve only won once this season and that was on their own ground. Aside from that, they still have a decent record at home, interestingly – they just don’t win enough games there. They’ve only lost two out of six games at home which isn’t too bad, all things considered. It’s of some comfort to them that they’re at home to MyPa Anjalankoski, a side that have found fortune hard to come by on the road with just one win from six games, including three defeats. Both sides in atrocious form but I feel JJK Jyvaskyla will be more geared up for the fight; the visitors are generally more acclaimed to playing a better style of football. For that reason, I’m going to tip a very slight home win with a possible consideration for draw no bet given the hosts inability to finish off sides on a consistent basis.

Throttur Reykjavik vs Fram Reykjavik – away win. There’s not too much logic to this – Throttur Reykjavik are simply a very poor side and Fram Reykjavik are better than they are. The visitors are beginning to find the kind of form that earned them a place in European football this season and the hosts are beginning to find the kind of form that will see them relegated. There’s not a lot else to it – I’d be surprised if this wasn’t an away win!
Tromso vs Valerenga Oslo – home win, draw no bet. Just when you think that you can reliably back Valerenga Oslo again, they lose their consistency and become unreliable again. They face the unenviable long trip north to Tromso, a side that are beginning to show the kind of form they’re capable of, particularly at home, where they’ve only lost twice this season. What makes this bet interesting is that Valerenga Oslo are one of the best sides on the road in the division. However, I’m banking on their mid-week Norwegian Cup tie will have tired them somewhat and Tromso will be able to take advantage of that fact and steal a win here. This isn’t a dead cert by any means so consider taking at draw no bet.
Orgryte vs Gefle – away win. Much akin to the Throttur Reykjavik vs Fram Reykjavik brief earlier, the visitors are simply too good for the hosts. Orgryte’s dismal form in this campaign has all but cemented them a place in next year’s Superettan. Whereas Gefle are some distance from being the best side in the division, they are somewhat efficient and should despatch their opponents without any particular difficulty.
Trelleborgs vs Orebro – home win. This is a bit of a risky call but I rather like it, to be honest! Both sides are about as good as each other Orebro haven’t lost in their past five league games, although they have drawn four of them. However, they face a Trelleborgs side that are absolutely lethal at home, winning five from their six home games so far this season. In fact, the only side with a better home record in the division is league leaders IFK Goteborg so a home win here looks a distinct possibility although I must emphasise some caution here as the hosts really don’t like losing and are prepared to drag anyone else down with them to ensure that they don’t lose!
