I think this is the game that will be on everyone’s mind today! 1st meets 5th in what should prove to be a feisty encounter at Old Trafford. Both sides are in need of the points, particularly Aston Villa as they do their best to endure their barren spell and begin to catch Arsenal. Manchester United would certainly feel relieved to have three points under their belts following back-to-back defeats at home to Liverpool and away to Fulham. I think the international break would have done both sides some good in taking the pressure off their players, so I do expect both sides to turn up. However, in situations like these, there’s only one side that consistently pulls it out of the bag when they need to, and that’s Manchester United. They have the strength in depth, consistent quality in every area of the pitch and a massive level of experience in both management and the team itself. For those reasons, my call for this game is 2-0.
In unrelated news, I have to warn you about the Greek Super League today. There are 6 games with +8 confidence rating so I’m mildly concerned something bizarre is going to happen, so play this league carefully!!
