Please – somebody tell me WHY that would be necessary?! Have any players dropped dead in the second-half purely because of exhaustion? No. Players have died on the field before but that is not due to half-time being 5 minutes too short! The other idea this twit has generated is to put an assistant behind each goal for goal-line decisions – again, WHY? Video evidence has been tried and tested successfully on the International stage already – why not implement it? It removes the human error, it removes the cost of assistants stood behind nets etc. etc. The list just goes on. Anyway, this prick has decided to implement these new ideas prior to the 2012 European Championships so they can be used at the afore-mentioned tournament.

There’s certainly some very interesting encounters today. With the majority of the English Championship top sides struggling for form, it leaves the door open for the followers to take the initiative. My treble of the day has to be risky as hell and containing Crewe Alexandra, Blackpool and Morecambe. The odds should be about 20/1 on this, so you’ll need some luck to pull it off, but all the ingredients are there for it to occur. Alternatively, you could take the chance that the big sides in the English Championship are still going to struggle and back a double containing Sheffield Wednesday and Crystal Palace – odds should be about 7/1. If you fancy a more reliable but slightly less profitable bet, I’d look at Peterborough United, Rochdale and Leicester City or Arsenal, Chelsea and Wycombe Wanderers. The odds should be about 7/1 and 4/1 respectively.
