Both of these sides are on horrendous runs and yet both really need the three points from this game as they desperately try to scramble away from the relegation zone. The only scoreline I can call for this ultimately decisive encounter is a 0-0 result that benefits nobody. The last four encounters between Newcastle United and Middlesbrough have ended in draws and I fail to see a different result emerging here. The safest bet I can offer you is that the goals are under 2.5 as both sides are frankly inept when it comes to goalscoring. I wouldn’t be surprised to see both sides relegated from the English Premier League and after their torrid season, I can only say that they deserve it.
