PSV Eindhoven vs AFC Ajax Amsterdam
FreeThis game is easily the biggest in the Dutch calendar year. The two juggernauts of the Eredivisie clash for the second time this season. The first ended somewhat bizarrely, if I recall correctly. PSV Eindhoven were playing well as they travelled to an AFC Ajax Amsterdam side that weren’t in the best of form and were supposedly missing virtually their entire strikeforce. An away win looked favourable, basically. However, the mystery of the derby reared its ugly head as the hosts smashed the visitors 4-1. Now the boot is somewhat on the other foot as AFC Ajax Amsterdam are making waves with their superb performances of late, most recently their 7-0 annihlation of Willem II. PSV Eindhoven are playing well too, although it seems more and more likely with each passing week that neither will be playing Champions League football next season. I can’t even bring myself to think how long it’d be since neither side appeared in it! AFC Ajax Amsterdam will be going all out in this game because they’re chasing a newly-created machine in FC Twente Enschede, who are under the stewardship of former England manager Steve McClaren. I think this will play right into the hands of PSV Eindhoven, who don’t really have an awful lot to play for or worry about. They’re not going to get caught so they’re guarenteed UEFA Cup (Or “Europa League” – fuck off Platini) football next season, even if it’s via qualification rather than an automatic bye, and they’re sure as hell not going to catch up and gain a Champions League place. They will, however, seek to extract revenge from their demolition at the Amsterdam Arena earlier this season. I’m going to make a bold call that PSV Eindhoven are going to piss on AFC Ajax Amsterdam’s bonfire and win the game 2-1. I don’t expect cards, but a resilient display from the hosts will almost certainly be on the cards.

My tips:
There’s a 4-team accumulator that really has my attention today, and that’s four away wins for Dinamo Zagreb, FC Copenhagen, Dynamo Kiev, and FC Porto. I think 4/1 for these sides is a steal!
Rosenborg, AC Milan, Basel and Wisla Krakow is my 2nd favourite 4-team accumulator of the day although it’s not that far behind! 5/1 or 6/1 on this bet is very good in my opinion!

Lastly, I’ll leave you with three riskier bets to consider. All of these are trebles and all are fraught with the danger of failing but I feel that today is the lucky day for these sides!
