FreeWhat a player! I mean, not just in light of his most recent performance against Barcelona, but the guy is phenomenal. I really rate him and think he’ll be around for some time to come. However, it seems his days at Atletico Madrid may be numbered. Atletico have done well since their return to the top flight of Spanish football but they’re not a major force yet and with the news that Internazionale are preparing to make a gigantic bid for the Argentine in summer, you have to wonder how long he’ll stay in Spain. Aguero is worthy of Champions League football year in, year out, and Internazionale would almost certainly grant him that. It’s well-documented that Mourinho doesn’t get on with Adriano, and with Julio Cruz not getting any younger and Balotelli still a youngster, it would make sense if Mourinho were to strengthen his strikeforce. Plus it helps Mourinho to have another match-winner in the squad for the days when Ibrahimovic has a sulk.
Also, on a side-note, did anyone watch Palermo take an absolute beating at home to bitter rivals Catania at weekend? I couldn’t believe it – these two sides don’t have a lot between them and for the away side to win 4-0 is rather shocking in my eyes. On a positive note, there was only one red card, which is a rather good-tempered match considering some of their past meetings.
