Real Madrid should batter Osasuna, in my view. They’ve rarely had an easy game against Osasuna in the past few years but Osasuna look very weak this season – they’ve not replaced the players they’ve sold whatsoever – whereas Real Madrid are going from strength to strength with wave after wave of offensive power in their ranks. -2.5 handicaps are always hard to pull in but I fancy it here with the above in mind.
Verdict: Real Madrid to beat the -2.5 handicap at evens.

Cercle Brugge vs Anderlecht – away win at 4/5.
Double-check that Anderlecht aren’t missing any regulars here because if they’re not then I really fancy them. I respect Cercle Brugge a lot because of the way they play football and the players that they have but Anderlecht have been scintillating lately, especially in front of goal, and I honestly can’t see another side in Belgium capable of dealing with them right now. Away win for me.
Verdict: Anderlecht to win at 4/5.
Levski Sofia vs Lokomotiv Plovdiv – away win with +1 Asian Handicap at 6/5.
I can’t fathom these odds, really. Levski are a huge, huge side but they’ve rarely played like it this season. They lack creative options in midfield – barring Tasevski – and lack a good target man. The visitors are improving every year and whereas I don’t think they’re good enough to win in Sofia yet, I do think they’re good enough to at least get a draw here. If not, then the worst I expect for them is a single goal loss so the away win with a +1 Asian Handicap at 6/5 is well worth a shot here, in my view.
Verdict: Lokomotiv Plovdiv to win with a +1 Asian Handicap at 6/5.
Botev Vratsa vs CSKA Sofia – away win with -1.5 handicap at 5/6.
Polar opposites, basically. Weak side versus the best side in Bulgaria right now. Penev had a great start in charge of CSKA when they beat Levski and he should be able to continue it today. Away handicaps are always harder than home handicaps but there’s a huge gulf between these two sides and I expect it to show by the final whistle.
Verdict: CSKA Sofia to beat the -1.5 handicap at 5/6.
Slavia Prague vs Viktoria Plzen – away win at 10/11.
My only concern today is if Plzen are tired from their game with Barcelona mid-week because if they’re not then they’ll run riot here. Slavia Prague are a shadow of what they used to be for varying reasons and simply cannot defend. Plzen are one of the top dogs in the Gambrinus Liga right now and as long as rotation isn’t enforced, the away win at 10/11 is a bargain here.
Verdict: Viktoria Plzen to win at 10/11.
Granada vs Racing Santander – home win at 11/10.
Granada have looked really good lately, even in their 0-1 loss against Barcelona. They won 1-2 at Sevilla CF in their last match and as their new players are finally galvanising, they look a force at long last. Racing are still one of the weakest sides in the division and their performances tend to show it, especially on the road. For me, the home win at 11/10 is well worth a shot here.
Verdict: Granada to win at 11/10.
