Today’s secondary featured game is the Serbian Superliga game between Borac Cacak and heavyweights Partizan Belgrade.
Borac Cacak are battling aganst relegation (again!) so nothing but their absolute top-drawer display will suffice. Unfortunately for the hosts, a top-drawer display still leaves them a few classes below opponents Partizan Belgrade, even if their visitors have an off-day. Therefore, Borac Cacak are going to have to do what they do best by sitting back and defending. They’re not a bad side, defensively speaking – they’re just horrific when it comes to scoring the chances that they actually create. There’s a lack of depth in the team but the starting eleven can usually hold their own at home, at least when it comes to limiting their opponents’ goalscoring opportunities. Borac Cacak do lose more than they should because they’re horrendous when it comes to scoring goals but they will frustrate sides and I think that they can do that today, especially with relegation a very real possibility if they don’t start to pick up some points.
Partizan Belgrade are the most ideal away side in Serbia, however. You really have to fancy them to secure three points with a distinct quality advantage. However, I don’t think it’ll be as convincing as it normally is. Partizan score more goals than any other Serbian Superliga side on the road and they also concede less goals than any of their contemporaries on the road. Partizan have the perfect blend of youth and experience and they always have an answer to a question asked by opposing defences. However, Partizan have a bit of an obstacle today in the sense that all of their strikers are out. Yes, that’s Markovic and Diarra joining Eduardo and Scepovic on the sidelines. Now, as Partizan play with such a mobile midfield and a very good playmaker in Vukic, they still tend to score goals, one way or another. They’ll secure the title with three points today and realistically speaking, you have to expect them to win this game. Still, you never just know when complacency will bite because realistically speaking, Partizan have already won the title – it’s on mathematically that it’s not yet guaranteed.
I’m not a big statistics fan but they’re always useful to support bets so here are some statistcs for you:

Borac Cacak have conceded more than two goals in just one Superliga home game this season, which was back in September 2011.
Partizan Belgrade have conceded just one goal in their last fifteen head-to-head meetings with Borac Cacak.
Of those fifteen games, Partizan have won fourteen times and drawn once.
Six out of the last seven meetings between these two sides at Borac Cacak’s stadium have gone under 2.5 goals.
With all of the above in mind, taking under 2.5 goals looks a good bet at 4/5.
