Featured game

TPS Turku vs MyPa Anjalankoski – home win with -1 Asian Handicap at 9/10.

Today’s featured game is the Veikkausliiga encounter between TPS Turku and MyPa Anjalankoski.

Hosts TPS Turku have looked much better since homegrown starlet Riski returned on loan and their attack now looks dynamite as a result. Their defence isn’t particularly reliable but their attack is very solid indeed with the ever-impressive Aaritalo likely to be fielded alongside the talented Riski. Attacking has long been the forté of TPS Turku and they should make it count at the Veritas today.

The only plus that I can find for MyPa ahead of this game is that the weather has been atrocious and the pitch at the Veritas is something of a swamp. As far as their team goes, however, they’re not in a good way. They’ve still got lots of absentees and they look to have finally run out of steam in their late surge with quality minimal already so it was always going to be an uphill task. There’s a couple of players that could trouble TPS but not enough to bother me, especially after MyPa’s lethargic and ineffectual displays prior to the international break.

If the trend of both teams continues after this break then TPS should clear this handicap quite easily. I’ve taken the insurance of the -1 Asian Handicap instead of the -1.5 handicap because I at least expect TPS Turku to win the game but the insurance is there in case a bit of rustiness or weariness creeps into their game. Therefore, my call is the -1 Asian Handicap for TPS Turku at decent odds of 9/10.

Verdict: TPS Turku to beat the -1 Asian Handicap at 9/10.
