TFT Issue 426!

I’m sorry but I just can’t find anything that I like enough to tip today and I’ll explain why.
The only two games that interest me are the European Championship games but the odds on show don’t offer much, really. Croatia are long against an Italian side that they’re close to nowadays in terms of quality, in my view. Italy are at the centre of yet another scandal so who knows how they’ll react to that? I don’t. Italy were awesome against Spain but will they be as motivated here? I’m not so sure. Croatia can win this one but so can Italy so it’s going to be interesting – G/G is a possibility.
In the other game, people will be falling over themselves to handicap Spain and let them, if they wish to. I’m more interested in giving Ireland a +1.5 at evens, to be honest. I’ve not tipped it because Ireland were nervous against Croatia and got battered as a result (well, at least in the final scoreline – they actually played reasonably well) so imagine what Spain will do to them if the same happens here. Additionally, if Spain show up with an actual striker on the field this time and produce a top-notch display then they could run riot. I don’t find the chances of either of those two things happening being particularly high, though. Ireland will be motivated for a game against the world champions and Spain are unlikely to be as motivated here as they were for the rivalry match with Italy. Spain will dominate possession and will most likely edge the game but I anticipate a close game with few goals due to Spain struggling to break through a stiff Irish resolve. An early goal for Spain or Ireland capitulating will destroy this bet but it’s the only one that interests me today, especially as I won’t rule Ireland out from scoring from a set piece, especially against a poor Spanish defence.
