Top Football Transfer News: Thiago Set to Join Liverpool From Bayern Munich

Thiago edges closer to Bayern Munich exit after the Spaniard was rumoured to have turned down a new deal from the German club. According to several reports from Germany, Thiago has agreed to personal terms with Liverpool ahead of his move from Bayern Munich. He informed the Bundesliga giants that he wants to try out new challenges. However, the signing of Leroy Sane by the German side has been great news for German fans that love the club and as well participate in football slot games. Thiago has sampled the footballing culture in two top European domestic leagues as a creative midfielder. He once featured for Barcelona, when he was in Spain, he’s currently with Bayern Munich and is keen to join the Champions of the English Premier League (2019/20 season), Liverpool at the end of the season.

Klopp: We couldn’t get Timo Werner

Liverpool’s manager, Jurgen Klopp once said in an interview that the club couldn’t get Timo Werner’s deal over the line. Werner who has recently been signed by Chelsea was on the radar of the Merseyside Club for a while before signing for Chelsea. However, Klopp has clearly stated his intention to strengthen his squad for the next season, particularly on the attacking side. He is intent on adding more creativity to his central midfield and Thiago has been identified as his top target.

Thiago is very keen on joining the Reds. Bild reports that the Spaniard wants to work with Klopp and has agreed to personal terms with the English club following the approval of Klopp for the deal to go on. Although that represents a bulk part of the move, the Reds have not been able to agree on a transfer fee for the Spaniard with Bayern Munich. The Bundesliga giants want a fee of £36 million to release the midfielder and that could pose as a big problem for Liverpool. The Merseyside Club values Thiago for about £22 million. Bayern Munich who are keen on recovering the fee spent on Leroy Sane may not back down on the fees.

Bayern Signs Sane to Replace Thiago

Earlier this month, Bayern Munich completed the signing of winger, Leroy Sane from Manchester City for a transfer fee of £54.8 million. And they are wishing that they could recoup more than half of the money spent on Leroy Sane from the transfer fee of Thiago. If Liverpool refuses to increase the budgeted fee for Thiago, they may find it difficult to get the midfielder. But, the German Champions might reduce their asking price if Liverpool increases their opening offer.

Liverpool began the season with a midfield trio of Gini Wijnaldum, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain and Fabinho and the trio has propelled them to the first league title in 30 years. Jurgen Klopp is understandably happy with the performance of his midfield but he is keen on reinforcing the line to add a little bit of creativity, competition and depth to that position. The trio started out in the defeat against Arsenal at the Emirate Stadium and couldn’t produce many changes in the game. The midfield trio is the usual suspects when it comes to the attacking prowess of Liverpool. The midfielders add excitement to the game of Liverpool but should the trio not be in the game, Liverpool will have to rely on their full-backs – Alexander Trent Arnold and Andy Robertson – to create something from nothing. The duo has created and scored several goals for Liverpool this season. It will not be wrong to state that Liverpool has ridden on the skills and talent of the duo to win matches.

But with the addition of Thiago, a box to box midfielder and a player that can play at the base of the midfield, Liverpool has got class, skills and control in the midfield.
