Branesti claimed a deserved 1-1 draw at league leaders Otelul Galati last match and won 4-1 at home to Unirea Urziceni in the game before that, demonstrating their team spirit and their ability to score goals when it suits them. Branesti are unbeaten in six games now, winning three of them, so they bring an awful lot of momentum into this game and for a small side with loyal players and hard-workers, this means an awful lot and I think Dinamo Bucharest can expect a really tough game today.
Quality-wise, Dinamo Bucharest should win this game every day of the week. However, odds of 4/5 on them winning this game don’t interest me at all. They lack the cohesion that their hosts possess and they also have a very large problem in that they simply cannot defend. Dinamo Bucharest have kept one clean sheet in the Liga this season, which speaks volumes by itself. Dinamo Bucharest have already faced the three sides that were promoted with Victoria Branesti and each game has gone comfortably over 2.5 goals because they don’t have any fear when playing Dinamo but Dinamo have the best attack in the division so they tend to score a lot of goals too. Dinamo missed N’Doye last match and it showed but rumour has it that he’ll return today, which is a boost for Dinamo. They’re a good goalscoring side as it is but a strong midfield certainly aids their cause. There’s so much firepower in this Dinamo side that I don’t doubt them scoring today and their defence is bad enough to concede against anyone so I anticipate a lot of goals here.
Again, I’d avoid the 1×2 market here – there’s no sense in ever betting for or against Dinamo Bucharest due to their unpredictable nature. However, one thing they consistently bring to games is goals, either for or against, so that’s the line I’m taking today. Branesti will treat this as a Cup Final and I think they’ll score at least one with that in mind. Dinamo need the points and have a better side and realistically should win the game but with the above in mind, only over 2.5 goals appeals to me rather than the obvious away win. It’s priced rather generously at evens, which is surprisingly but pleasing as most of Dinamo’s games go over 2.5 goals without any great difficulty so my call is over 2.5 goals here.
