Flora Tallinn vs Trans Narva

Free

This match in the Meistriliiga today sees giants Flora Tallinn entertain high-flying Trans Narva. Atypically, I wouldn’t utilise this game in the introduction section but I’m somewhat astounded that the bookies are giving odds of 1/2 for a home win. Generally, Meistriliiga odds for 80% of games are 1/6 at the very least, but perhaps the bookies are feeling generous today! Flora Tallinn, with Levadia Tallinn, are the best two sides in Estonia, to put it bluntly. Trans Narva are arguably in third place but there’s a massive gulf between them and the top two. This is indicated particularly well when viewing the head-to-head encounters as Flora Tallinn have won five out of the last six games against Trans Narva, and drawn the remaining game. Both sides are in good form, but being as good as they both are, you’d expect that in a league with such low-class opposition. However, I’m feeling overwhelmingly confident for a home win today and will be backing the hell out of Flora Tallinn at a marvellous 1/2!

Tuesday’s Picks

My tips:

There’s only three games I like the look of today, which I’ve listed below for you all:

Flora Tallinn vs Trans Narva – home win at 1/2 – see introduction section for full description.

Sweden U21 vs Belarus U21 – home win at 4/6. When it gets to big tournaments, games can be more tense and tight but generally quality tends to shine through. As much as I admire the pluck and tenacity of Belarus U21 to get to these finals, I fear they will be overwhelmed by a talented and determined Sweden U21 squad with the additional advantage of playing on home soil. The hosts are simply a better outfit and at 4/6, I think this is a steal.

Energiya Khabarovsk vs Cherno Novorosisk – home win at 4/9. In terms of quality, there’s not a lot between these two sides. However, Energiya Khabarovsk have a massive home advantage in this instance being as they’re one of the furthest sides from Cherno Novorosisk in terms of distance – you’ve got to be looking at approximately 3000-4000 miles. From this evidence, it’s not difficult to see why Energiya Khabarovsk get the majority of their points at home (7 games – 3 wins, 3 draws, 2 defeats). To add further fuel to the fire, Cherno Novorosisk have an abysmal away record this season with just one away win from seven games with them having lost the rest of the games. The hosts entertain the game unbeaten in three games the visitors enter the game on the back of a defeat. I’m definitely feeling the home win here!
