Aside from the two mentioned above, nothing else interests me today.
Yesterday’s game between Germany and Italy was a bit of an eye-opener, wasn’t it? Germany looked a shade naive and Italy took full advantage with the experience in their squad. Andrea Pirlo ran the show from start to finish with his wonderful passing and vision and with Balotelli in that kind of form, it was hard for anything but an Italian win to materialise. It’s just a shame from an Italian point of view that Balotelli only produces those kind of performances once in every five or ten games or else they’d be a better side than they currently are.
So now we have the European Championship Final looming large on Sunday between Spain and Italy. The two sides locked horns in Group C earlier in this competition with the scoreline ending 1-1. Are we going to see another close encounter with a score draw? Could Balotelli steal the limelight again with some more lethal finesse? Or will Del Bosque’s boys use their Germany-esque efficiency to win without playing particularly well?
