There’s some interesting games today and some that…well, aren’t. There’s not too much value floating around. Aside from the bet I’ve mentioned in the introduction, the only other bet that looks good is backing Spain to win at Azerbaijan with a -1.75 handicap at 6/5. Why? Spain are arguably the best side in the world at the moment and Azerbaijan somehow lost at home last match to a massively under-strength Wales without even scoring a goal.
I do like the look of Bosnia-Herzegovina to overcome Oman at 4/9. I rate Bosnia-Herzegovina rather highly, to be honest with you. There’s a lot more talent in that squad than people realise, sort of like Republic of Macedonia. Oman, however, are nobodies effectively with only one player of any real distinction – Al-Habsi, Bolton Wanderers’ number 2 goalkeeper. He is a fine ‘keeper on his day but I think Bosnia-Herzegovina have more than enough firepower to win this game comfortably.
Aside from those bets…you’re on your own! I think you’d be lucky to get 3/1 if you combined all the U21 dead certs in an accumulator so I’d stick to handicaps.
