Memories!
FreeAs there’s no real value today, I’m going to delve into the past to see what each of you remembers particularly from the 2006 World Cup, if indeed anything stands out at all. A lot of people remember the six-goal drubbing a classy Argentina dished out to an organised Serbia. For me, there’s just one outstanding game and that was Mexico vs Argentina (apologies for the poor quality picture – I found it on YouTube!).
For me, this game was the best game I saw at the whole World Cup that year. Two good sides but the better side obviously being Argentina. However, Mexico more than proved their match in a feisty encounter between the two sides. For me, this is where hispanic football peaks – two sides that know how to play football exhibitioning their ability and it takes a special goal to win it. The game had everything a game should have – goals, action, controversy, and good football in general.
