Although Newi Cefn Druids managed an impressive draw at Airbus in their last game, I’m sure they’d be the first to admit that they’re nowhere near as good as Airbus are. A last-gasp equaliser saw Airbus robbed of two points, something that they’ll no doubt be keen to atone for today. Airbus have a presentable record away from home with just two defeats in eight games, managing three wins along the way. One aspect I admire about Airbus is their potency on the road. They’ve already scored fourteen goals in eight away games this season, a record only surpassed by Rhyl and Bangor City currently. Airbus are one of the biggest goalscoring sides in the division despite their misleading league positioning and this should really cause mass problems for a Newi Cefn Druids side that cannot keep a clean sheet and that struggle to score goals. My only concern is that Airbus are struggling for momentum with no wins in three games, drawing twice and losing once, but they really should have enough in the tank to overcome their lowly opponents today, paricularly with the motivation of revenge following the last meeting between these two sides.
I’d normally expect this game to be something of a stroll in the park for Airbus but their lack of momentum in recent times is probably the reason behind us being able to get good odds on the away win here so it’s not all bad! I personally think it’s worth taking the away win at these odds despite the recent failings of Airbus because Newi Cefn Druids simply aren’t good enough to contain them, particularly with Airbus scoring goals as freely as they tend to!
Verdict: Airbus to win at 5/6.
