Sporting Gijon vs Granada – home win at evens.
Sporting Gijon are a weak side this year, as I’ve mentioned before. However, the further they slip down the table, the more they fight so I take my hat off to them. I watched their 2-1 loss at Sevilla CF at weekend and they deserved something from the game. They created chance after chance and just wasted them each time. At home, though, against an inexperienced Granada side, I fancy Sporting to turn that around today. Sporting arguably have better attackers but they’re still new to their team and the team as a whole are still new to the division so I quite fancy Gijon edging this one if they take their chances because as far as cohesion goes, Sporting win this battle hands-down.
Verdict: Sporting Gijon to win at evens.

Aris Limassol vs Ermis – home win at 5/6.
Again, Aris have been really, really impressive lately. Not as clinical as they could be for the chances that they create but they’ve given all the heavyweights a really tough game and have deserved more from their games with them, to be honest. Aris are real battlers and I can see them taking advantage of their good form against a very, very weak Ermis side today.
Verdict: Aris Limassol to win at 5/6.
