Howdy guys and girls!

I’m afraid nothing interests me today. However, I will share my thoughts on the big game between Spain and France for you.

Spain are not an easy side to play against because they’re excellent. They’re predictable, however – they pack the team with central midfielders and pass their opponents to death. They create very few actual chances, though, and that’s their biggest weakness. Will Del Bosque even field a striker today? He should but he’s tried playing without one at least twice already in this tournament so why not today? France are not good at the back so maybe he will try it. Either way, Spain have to create more chances or they’re going to come to an abrupt end very soon, in my view. They’ve got a very susceptible defence, which is unsurprising as Ramos is leading it and although he plays with heart and bravery, he’s often erratic and wild, landing him and his team-mates in trouble. There are gaps here for France to exploit but will they? They’ve got a Manager who is a master at exploiting the weaknesses of their opponents but he’s in charge of a side that seems to show up when it suits them. They’ve looked good in two games thus far and awful in the other one. If the same France shows up here as we saw for eighty minutes of their game with Sweden then Spain will win this game without any problems at all. If France show up as we saw them in the other two games with their mobile and talented midfield causing problems then Spain are in for a tough game. Busquets must be at his best here or France’s best weapon could be unleashed; their midfield. We’ve not seen enough of Benzema but may today as he’s up against some very familiar faces. France love to be underdogs and they’re good enough to upset Spain here if they play right. If they don’t…well, it’s all down to when Spain want to win the game. I simply cannot find any value in this game, however, other than perhaps betting in-play. The best of luck to you if you take this one on!
