Howdy guys and girls!

As ever, approach each tip with caution and intelligence. Every tip has the potential to win or to lose; it depends how the team plays. My advice would always be to watch the games (where possible) and bet in-play because you’ve got an idea of what should happen in the game (based on the preview) and you can judge if things are going the way that they should or not. In-play betting is a very valuable tool that is not to be overlooked! If you have any questions then feel free to ask.

Bankers

I’d be surprised if they all win as betting isn’t that simple but these are the bets that really should come in. You know it’s a weird day when the majority of them don’t come in!

Bologna vs Juventus – away win at 2/5.

Bologna away is never an easy game but I can’t help feeling that the ruthlessly efficient machine that is Juventus will win here. Internazionale annihlated Bologna here a week or two ago but failed to make it count. Juventus are more “Italian” than Internazionale in the sense that if they get a lead, they tend to hold it. It took them ages to break through against Udinese in their last match but they still did because of that relentless winning mentality they have. They’ve got the personnel up front and at the back to keep Bologna out and although the home side are spirited and good in attack, I do think that the Juventus machine will roll onward with a win tonight.

Verdict: Juventus to win at 2/5.

SL Benfica vs Arouca – home win at 17/100.

Benfica aren’t enjoying the best of seasons but if they can’t beat newly-promoted Arouca at home then there’s something very wrong. I have to admit that this is the kind of game that Benfica will only win late on because they get complacent in such matches. However, they are very good at claiming those vital three points in front of their fans and Arouca are powerless to resist them. One way or another, the superior Benfica should win this game.

Verdict: SL Benfica to win at 17/100.

Galatasaray vs Elazigspor – home win at 1/4.

So – Galatasaray are getting back to their best, now, right? Wrong. However, they are hosting Elazigspor, who are the worst side in the Super Lig right now. Therefore, rotation or not, Galatasaray really should beat them with the vastly superior squad at their disposal. It’s not hard to score against the home side, especially with Muslera out, but Galatasaray should have way too much firepower for Elazigspor to handle here.

Verdict: Galatasaray to win at 1/4.

Featured game

Concordia Chiajna vs Poli Timisoara – home win at evens.

Today’s featured game is the Romanian Liga game between Concordia Chiajna and Poli Timisoara.

The Liga table suggests that there is little between these two sides and on paper, I suppose that’s an acceptable point to make. However, Concordia have a couple of games in hand on their opponents and they also present a much stronger and more united front than their visitors so I fancy them to do well today.

It helps massively that Poli Timisoara’s top goalscorer and only good striker Szekely is out but the fact that experienced captain Ovidiu Petre is a doubt too also makes me think that Concordia are going to have some fun today. Petre holds things together in midfield so if he doesn’t play and their best striker doesn’t then what exactly can they hope to achieve here?

They frustrated Petroul in Ploiesti with epic defensive tactics but they needed a massive amount of luck to keep the scoreline at 0-0, Poli Timisoara. They don’t score enough on the road, however, so when they do concede, they tend to lose. I expect to see another case of that today, in a nutshell. Concordia have kept three clean sheets in their last four games and the only side to beat them here this season has been high-flying Pandurii Targu Jiu, who are one of the top three sides in Romania. All of the other sides that have faced Concordia here have really struggled and I think an unconvincing Poli Timisoara will do exactly the same.

Concordia’s players have a great understanding and they work very hard for one another. That’s what has put them on such a good fun of form lately, basically. They’re not a great side but they play as if they are, particularly at home. Brazilian forward Wellington Carlos has been playing well this season and young midfielder Rosu has caught the eye of a number of clubs. Despite possessing a rather youthful side, boss Chirila has moulded them into men. They play as a fierce and determined unit which is precisely why any visiting side here has really struggled to handle their hosts.

Therefore, as long as they take their chances, I can’t see Concordia Chiajna failing to win this game against an inferior and vulnerable Poli Timisoara.

Verdict: Concordia Chiajna to win at evens.
