Unlucky England…

Free

…you just weren’t good enough. It’s not a flaw of the English team, in my opinion. You simply have to stand back and appreciate the free-flowing football that the Spanish exhibitioned. They didn’t create too many chances – neither side did really – but the difference was the clinical finishing from the Spanish. It was very pleasing for me to see Fernando Llorente get his first goal for Spain’s national team, but let’s hope he remains at Athletic Club de Bilbao. Hats off to Spain though – I can only hope they meet Argentina soon because that will be a superb match-up!

In other news, Chelsea money-mogul Roman Abramovich has appointed Guus Hidding as Chelsea’s manager for the remainder of the season. A superb appointment in my opinion; let’s see if he can make it to the end of the season without Abramovich sacking him though…
