Ok guys, thanks very much for the support with the Bet365 link and banner clicking – it’s really good of you all! If you could please continue to do this whenever you remember then it’d be greatly appreciated, especially if placing bets at that time. Thank you!

Today’s secondary featured game is the International Friendly in Montevideo between Uruguay and Netherlands. Uruguay are taking this game a lot more seriously than Netherlands are, based on their squad selection at least, and that would make sense as they have the Copa America looming large.

Allow me to be frank for a moment, however. I’ve not seen a Uruguay squad so strong in all areas for a long, long time. These guys are serious contenders for the Copa America but we’ll go into that nearer the time.

Uruguay are at full-strength for this game, in my eyes. They miss a couple of bit-part players like Ignacio Gonzalez but it’s no great loss for them. Just look at the strength in this team, though! Most of you will be more familiar with their deadly trio of Forlan, Cavani, and Suarez, which is phenomenal anyway. Even Abreu is a good and experienced striker – not that he can get in the team right now! Look at their midfield, too – Gargano, Gonzalez, Pereira, Lodeiro, and Rodriguez are just some of them. There’s a tremendous amount of pace, creativity, and skill divided amongst those players and I have to say how pleasing it is to see Ajax winger Lodeiro back after such a lengthy injury. He’s a very talented winger and I hope to see him playing against Netherlands tonight. Lastly, let’s look at Uruguay’s defence, which is really strong too – captain Lugano with bags of experience alongside Godin or Caceres with Muslera behind them and Pereira and Fucile on either side. There’s strength in every area of this team and I think they’ve got a good chance of winning this game, let alone scoring a goal!

Netherlands’ big problem is that there’s no Van Bommel, no Van der Vaart, and no Sneijder. Van Bommel is the best player in the Netherlands at breaking up opposing midfields so that’ll be a problem tonight. Sneijder and Van der Vaart are two of Netherlands’ three immense creative talents with only Robben in the current squad with proven consistent ability at this level. However, Barcelona midfielder Afellay and emerging Feyenoord playmaker Wijndalum are in the squad and both have impressed a lot this season for varying reasons. Considering that those players will be loading the funs for Van Persie and Huntelaar to fire, you really have to expect Netherlands to do what they do best and score here. Will they get a result? I really don’t know. They got a 0-0 draw in Brazil a few days ago but Uruguay have a different threat to Brazil with wily old fox Tabarez in charge and I think the Uruguayans may edge this one.

However, I’m not entering the 1×2 market as both are very talented sides. Instead, I’m going to attempt to exploit the goalscoring market here because both sides have bags of goals in them and for me, backing both sides to score represents terrific value at odds of 4/5.

Verdict: Both sides to score at 4/5.
