Howdy guys and girls!

I don’t like any pre-match bets today but I’ve done a few previews below to hopefully exploit where I feel there could be some in-play joy.

BATE Borisov vs Torpedo Zhodino

Torpedo are a bit of a bogey side for BATE. Results don’t show it but it usually takes BATE some time to break down a battling Torpedo side. Their visitors are very physical and BATE don’t always enjoy that kind of game. I think it may take BATE some time to break through but they should ultimately win, as that’s what they usually do. Torpedo are playing well and may score here, though. If they score first, lay the hell out of them as few sides can beat Borisov here and Torpedo aren’t one of them for 99.9% of the time.

Jippo Joensuu vs PK-35 Helsinki

This is one of the more interesting game today as Jippo are a defensive side that doesn’t score many and PK-35 are a good side that do score goals. However, the way both sides have played lately would have you believing the opposite of both sides. I think we’ll see a fun game here, really. I like both sides to score more than most bets but I’d not take that bet for any game involving Jippo at ridiculous odds of 8/13. I’d wait it out until it hits 5/6 as I’d fancy it then. This game could go over if PK-35 are in the mood but the value has to be on unfancied Jippo, who are playing very good football at the moment. PK-35 have done a lot of travelling lately so refrain from betting on the 1×2 unless keeping stakes low or watching the game. Taking both sides to score and perhaps over 2.5 goals looks interesting if we can make it through 10/15 minutes of the game without any goals being scored.

Lillestrom vs Tromso

Lillestrom can’t defend but Tromso don’t travel well. Lillestrom have attacked well and so have Tromso, for what it’s worth – they’re just not converting their chances. They should have ample opportunities against a leaky Lillestrom defence, though. The natural turf favours the hosts but Tromso are the better side. I’d not touch the 1×2 market, to be honest – it’s a minefield. I really like taking both sides to score if it hits 4/5 and over 2.5 goals if it hits 4/5 but aside from that, I’d leave it.

Other than that, the only game that has me interested in AGF vs Aalborg. I fancy AGF to beat them as they’re more consistent and reliable than Aalborg, who lost yet more players pre-season due to their woeful financial placing. Aalborg play good football every now and then but AGF are a big, physical, and experienced side and I can’t escape the feeling that the hosts will win the game. Evens looks tempting but I can’t endorse it freely as it’s the first game of the season and there’s lots to learn about sides at the start of a season.
